The last blog :(

Well, this is the last blog of the semester, so I´m going to talk about some things related to my experience doing this activity. To start, I have to admit that the first blog that I wrote was very difficult to me, because I hadn’t studyng english since school, and that was three years ago, so I had missed the practice until now. How ever, actually I noticed that I have a positive developments in my writing in English because I have a better vocabulary and the time that I take writing is less.

In general, this activity has been good to me because I like write a lote to give my view about some issues, but I think that the topics given in class should have been a free choice to the students, because I didin´t like to wrote about some themes that I considered tedious as technology or things related to the university. I would like have written more about things that I like to do in my free time and my opinion about movies, books and music.

Another thing that I like it of this interactive activity was the fact that we must to read the classmates’s texts and comment it given our opinion. In my experience this activity help me to know things about my friends that I didn’t know before!.

Well, I hope you liked my blog! See us the next semester!

My favourite Music

Hello everyone, today I´m going to talk about a theme that I really like: my favourite music.
It´s difficult to start talking about one singer, because I like a large variety of music genres, but in general I like rock.
I could spend so many hours a day listening to music and painting Mandalas when I have free time, because this is a very relaxing activity and helps me relieving the stress of university. Usually I listen to Oasis, U2, Los prisioneros, Gepe, The Doors, The Killers, Soda Stereo, Arctic Monkeys, Rihanna, The Police, etc.
My favourite national singers are Jorge González and Francisca Valenzuela. I really admire Jorge because I think that the lyrics of the songs he wrote for his musical group “Los Prisioneros” talks about our country’s reality, the injustice and the amazing differences between rich men and poor people. He has the strength to speak up about what no one else dares to say.
Francisca Valenzuela is a national singer too, and she is an activist of feminism. And she is the first woman that has created a festival of feminist music “Ruidosa Fest”. I had the honor of assisting to this festival in February of this year and it was very entertaining and interesting, it had really good music and the speeches of strong women. Also, I have seen at Francisca singing in the Festival del Hueaso de Olmué this year and I had the opportunity to talk with her some minutes and she it´s so smart and funny.

Well, see you next week!

Public Health

Hi everyone! Today I’m going to talk about my favorite subject of my career.

Actually I’m in the third semester of Odontology and my favorite subject is: “Promotion and Education on Health”.  In the class, our professors teach us about the importance of the Public Health and what we need to know and do to give the best attention to our patients, but not in the clinical treatment . For that reason, in this subject we must study other science as Epidemiology, where we can do diagnosis of health, but a population level to introduce public politics to make better life quality of the community.

I really like this subject because we can learn to “attend people and not teeths”, also this is one of the most social subjects that we have, and that makes me think that everything that I do have sense.  When I start studying Odontology the last year, I thought that Pediatric Dentistry was the specialty that I would like to study when I get my professional degree, but now I want to study Public Health to work in the faculty to be workmate of my teachers.

See you next week!

The Doctor finally identify the body when he examinated the oral cavity of the cadaver, because he found remains of the dental treatment that he has made on his patient.
